Running Accomplishments:

I started running 30 years ago when I lived in San Diego.

I've been able to maintain fairly decent finish times in almost all of my races over the past five years, and  have avoided any serious running injuries.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Run two marathons in 2011:  St. George and New York City.  Qualify for Boston 2012.  Get these times, or faster, in my races this year:

  • 5K: 19:30  19:03
  • 10K: 40:30 39:15
  • Half-M: 1:28:45   1:26:25
  • Marathon: 3:07:30

I'd like to maintain my age-graded effort at 80% or better in all race distances over the next two years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to still be running after I turn 60 this year and continue to run without injuries until I finally hang up my bone spurs and transition to more low- impact exercise--swimming or biking.

I will probably start doing more cross training and try to do a triathlon within a year or so.

Personal:

I'm married with three adult children but no one else in the family runs.  We all have our different hobbies and obsessions.
